The British Bulldog is an outgoing, confident, and friendly dog - with a big personality. Often the 'clown' of the party, they can make a great addition to many families, however, owners need to be aware of their health concerns. 

 

 

BRITISH BULLDOG HEALTH INFORMATION

The British Bulldog may be predisposed to the following health conditions: Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome (stenotic nares, elongated soft palate, hypoplastic trachea), Heat Stress, Facial Fold Dermatitis, Canine Hip Dysplasia, Patellar Luxation, Cherry Eye, Entropian, Interdigital Cysts, Hemivertebrae, and Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca. British Bulldogs also often need a caesarean section to deliver pups safely.
