BRITANNY SPANIEL HEALTH INFORMATION

Brittany Spaniels are generally healthy dogs. They can experience problems in the development of their hips (Canine Hip Dysplasia) and elbows (Canine Elbow Dysplasia), epilepsy and hypothyroidism. Less commonly they may develop eye problems resulting in blindness, such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) or lens luxation. Given they are a dog that requires intensive physical and mental stimulation, if this is not provided they may develop destructive behaviours.
