A little about the Chesapeake Bay Terrier

 

The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a fiercely loyal breed, originally bred to be an energetic water dog. Due to their devotion to their own family, they can be reserved with strangers and territorial with other animals. 

 

CHESAPEAKE BAY TERRIER HEALTH INFORMATION

The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a hardy breed who can withstand cold weather conditions. They are prone to Canine Hip Dysplasia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, and Hypothyroidism. Occasionally they can suffer from Cerebellar Abiotrophy, Entropian, Elbow Dysplasia or Gastric Volvulus (bloat).
