A little about the Deerhound

 

Also known as the "Scottish Deerhound", the Deerhound is an easy-going breed that needs a large amount of daily exercise. They are sensitive and love human companionship, but have retained some hunting instincts so may chase smaller animals.

Owners of the Deerhound should be aware of the following health conditions: Cardiomyopathy, Osteosarcoma, Csytinuria, Atopic Skin disease, Gastric Torsion (bloat), Hypothyroidism, Cervical Disease and Bleeding Disorders (Factor VII deficiency).
