The Hamiltonstovare is a hard-working hunting dog, who can provide good companionship but also loves having a job to do. 



The Hamiltonstovare can be prone to Epilepsy, Canine Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Ear Infections (Otitis Externa) and Gastric Torsion (bloat).
