A little about the Rough Collie
The Rough Collie shot to fame in the film Lassie and since then has been a popular family pet. With a rich coat and athletic nature, they need a large amount of grooming and exercise. They are easily trainable and loving and are devoted to their families.

Both Collies (Rough and Smooth) may be predisposed to the following conditions: Collie Eye Anomaly, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Gastric Torsion (bloat), Dermatomyositis, Demodicosis, Seizures, Microphthalmia, Canine Hip Dysplasia and Cyclic Neutropenia. It should also be noted these breeds may be sensitive to certain drugs such as Ivermectin.
