A little about West Highland White Terriers
The West Highland White Terrier is a feisty and friendly Terrier with a big personality. It enjoys playing, regular walks and interaction with family, but its hunting instincts mean it can be less friendly towards small animals. Overall it is a busy, curious, and affectionate breed, who can make excellent companions.
WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER HEALTH INFORMATION
One of the West Highland White Terriers most common health concerns is skin issues, with a high incidence of allergies and atopic dermatitis. Also reported are inherited genetic neurological diseases such as; Globoid Cell Leukodystrophy and 'White Dog Shaker Syndrome" and bone disorders like Legg-Perthes and Craniomandibular Osteopathy. Occasionally they can develop deafness, patellar luxation, cataracts and keratoconjunctivitis sicca.
