A little about Yugoslavian Mountain Hound

This active hunting dog has been around for a century. They were originally bred for endurance and speed, to hunt small game in the mountains of the formerly named Yugoslavia. They are notably even keeled, but are highly active. Their laid back demeanour makes them suitable as pets, but their need for excercise and stimulation is something to be considered to avoid frustration. They have a high prey drive, thus this breed is best suited to those without other small animals. Not suited to city living.
